What is my gun worth?

Question:

I am looking for the value of '' STAR'' 9m/m. Writen on the gun, RONIFACIO ECHEVERRIA ''STAR'' 9m/m, 38 EIBAR (ESPANA) ONLY NO. on gun is 7288 is also stamped in the clip on bottom nearest date of purchase form guarantee card, 2-1-63.

Answer: I don't know its value, but my guess is a minimum of $200.00 due to I found from November, 2004 just such a gun selling (very good condition) in the $219.00 to $249.00 range, and another one at the same time for a minimum (bidded up to) $200.00 already. Note for both guns I do not know the final sale price. Not being a gun appraiser, I can only give an opinion. This was at an online gun action house - or at least pages online. (Auction Arms?) - 2-26-05

Please note do NOT sell the gun for minimum value until you have it appraised at its actual value, since it could be worth much more. In other words I am not saying to sell it at its minimum value - for any gun if there are any collectors looking for it specifically.
