WELDING PREP

Preparation for this product:

1. On hot mill steel, no surface prep is necessary if it is new and no brown rust
2. If parts have more than new, light oil, than degrease first.
3. If parts have brown rust, the brown rust crust must first be broken by wirebrush or scraping of the metal surface area. Reason: it takes too much time to break through it by converting of-the-rust method when applied topically

USING THIS PRODUCT:

1. 4) Apply 4C™ by spray/brush thoroughly to metal surfaces, wetting thoroughly, wearing eye protection and other personal protection required.
2. 5) Let soak on the surface for a minimum of 60 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes. (Longer is not better.)
3. 6) For immediate welding, dry the surface(s) immediately with high heat (red spread-flame) or Industrial Heat Gun for 45 seconds minimum, or longer - until completely dry.
4. 7) For not immediate welding (some time later), wipe off excess chemical with a lint-free cloth and let it completely air dry.

AFTER THE WELDING (RUST PROTECTION):

1. The Welding may be protected with the 4C™ by applying more solution to the new welding material and following directions 4,5, and 7 above.
2. Coating is a long-term rust protection in a covered, or protective environment.
3. If not covered, then a non-etching primer and/or paint combination should be used on top.
4. Once it is thoroughly dry, primers and paints stick to it like glue.
